New Studio, New Piece
This weeks been really busy, I got a studio space! I share the space with a friend of mine, Liam Barrett, plus Jon Mcnaught, Robin Davey and James Lewis. Heres my corner -
Today I had time to squeeze out a new piece to. Been trying to give things more context and reason to be on the page. This is not intended to offend, lets see what the internet thinks.

The Skinny: Heston
Heres a quick Illustration I did for The Skinny Magazine again. It was about TV chefs and in particular Heston Blumenthal. So here he is, serving up some science, on a plate, on the TV.

Sharon Van Etten
Zero Core Magazine asked me to produce an Illustration to accompany a Sharon Van Etten piece. I wasn't familiar with her work before, but ended up listening to the whole lot on Spotify. 'Serpents' really stood out for me, so this is what I ended up with.
Thanks for looking.

5 to 1
There has been a lot in the news lately about high unemployment. A lot of people I know are struggling with the issue. Had a quiet weekend so produced this. For every 5 jobseekers, there is 1 job available.
Also my favourite sketch from this weeks life drawing.
cheers.

Glasgow Film Festival - The Skinny Magazine
Pete over at The Skinny magazine asked me to produce a couple of header style images for the film and music section. The Glasgow Film festival was coming up. So I took a load of characters making an appearance. The deadline was pretty tight for an image like this but I'm pleased with the results. Monoke and Supes are my favourite. Click for a larger image.
Cheers for avin a peek.

The Work Life Balance Kit
I've been looking at a lot of a air-fix model kit diagrams lately... exciting stuff. Or, at least trying to figure out a way of appropriating some of it. I spotted an article about work-life balance and this sprung to mind.

Thoughts Not Spoken - Take 2
I've redone the 'Thoughts Not Spoken' piece. I thought it deserved a bit better execution so here it is. This time with a woman not looking into an abyss. Quite quick again over a day, trying out my new stay wet palette and still marvelling at the powers of complementary colour mixing.
Cheers

Global Cool Foundation
In between some other projects I've been doing some work for an organisation who are trying to help promote a greener lifestyle. This was part of a website relaunch, the core message was to try and get people to turn off the heating in favour of some warm jumpers. This will be the last post for a couple of weeks over Christmas. Expect to hear again in the new Year.
Thanks for looking :D

The Skinny - Robo-SantaZilla
I promise this is the last Festive image from me this year! This was another really fun piece for the guys over at The Skinny Magazine. This time, Santa gets his wires crossed with SkyNet and takes over the world.
You can read the article here or go buy the magazine from anywhere good.

The Skinny - Santa's List
I've been doing lots of Christmas related stuff lately and felt the need to hold of on it a bit. Wouldn't want to pre-empt anything. This is for a great little magazine called 'The Skinny'. Available on all good magazine racks.
This is one of those times when the rough just wasn't working after I got started. So went back to try and add another twist. Hey presto, Santa on the loo.

Soft Monsters
Heres a piece for Annalemma Magazine . A short fiction piece about two blokes who meet in a gallery. Was nice to do something a bit more spontaneous with the marks.
